Join the Climate Psychology Alliance of North America
Climate psychology is an essential and rapidly growing field. The more we learn to recognize, understand, and tolerate the emotions that arise in response to the climate crisis, the more effectively we can connect with one another, collaborate, and imagine just and equitable solutions.
CPA-NA is expanding quickly- engaging over 700 professionals across North America. We are on the cusp of building a continent-wide network of mental health providers dedicated to fostering resilience, expanding awareness, and advocating for communities navigating the mental-health impacts of climate change.
Our members include therapists, counselors, psychologists, psychiatrists, and other mental-health practitioners. We also welcome health workers, educators, activists, artists, journalists, spiritual leaders, researchers- anyone who cares about how climate change is affecting our mental health.
Wherever you are, we invite you to join us. We need you.

We are excited to invite you to join our community, in which we strive to honor integrity in all forms of relationship, and to engage in cultural shifts towards genuine reciprocity. Please share in this vision by only considering a Student or Retiree membership if you are NOT an actively practicing clinician or other type of employed professional (journalist, educator, etc.). This honest accounting also enables us to correctly classify students vs professional memberships for accurate end-of-year nonprofit reporting.
CPA-NA does not want to turn anyone away for lack of funds. If you have circumstances that necessitate paying a lower amount, please reach out to [email protected] directly and we will try to accommodate you.
Please note: Members interested in joining the Climate-Aware Practitioner Directory must add a CAP Directory membership to their membership. To do so, scroll down.
